Happy Birthday Newby! I think of you often and fondly remember our many conversations over the years, ranging from the mertis of modern classical music to the dangers of living in Israel to our common acquaintances in Charlottesville. I miss my time in Charlottesville very much, largely because of warm, down-to-earth people like you and Marcy that I haven't quite found anywhere else.
Here is a picture from my wedding this past August. Erica and I met when I moved to New York, although she is from San Diego, CA! Now we live in Queens.
I hope you had a great birthday, and that I'll see you next month when I'm in town for a concert with David Colwell in Cabell Hall!
